I know Memorial Day Weekend is not the time to be talking about CRM or Customer Relationship Manangement software but why not take a look into something new while you actually have time to look at it. I've dealt with installing software for users for years, and the toughest thing about dealing with software for people not familiar with software is making it easy to use. Most people will take simpler software, like iTunes, over a fully featured suite with all the bells and whistles. That's why having crm software that's easier to manage for your employees so that they can do what they're trained to do, which is get sales and make money. Man, I wish I wasn't so busy at the moment so I could take in more fun with the guys at Payperpost. They seem to always have something new up their sleeve, especially with the new upcoming Birdo release they've released Payperpost Direct. It's a new concept from the people who allow to get paid for blogging when you'd do it anyway to cut out the middleman and get paid directly by the advertiser. For example, if an advertiser likes your specific blog, he can click on the badge (which will get installed tomorrow, see prior post) and pay whatever you think a post on your site is worth. This cuts out the man in the middle when your blog is directly generating the content and the sales lead.
I think it's another step in the right direction, I've seen other competitors of Payperpost do this but it seems that their prices where either way too high or too low. This seems to be more customizable and a better bang for the buck on both sides of the coin, us bloggers can charge what we think we're worth and advertisers can pay a nominal service fee instead of 50 to 100% of the post. It doesn't make sense to not do this if you have some specific blogs or places you'd like to target and you already know they're involved with Payperpost Direct. I think it also stimulates the bloggers to have higher quality content and to promote better, in order to get the right advertisers and visitors to the site, making it more attractive and raising the price you could charge.
I'm all for it, and will install this tomorrow, what you guys think? Who's doing it or not? Speak your thoughts.

Sticking to Music - Find publicity on Unsigned.com

Was just browsing through my MySpace while at the hotel, and noticed some more bands trying to get my attention. Sure it may be nice trying to grab my attention there, but I'm really not going to listen to you on MySpace nor are you going to stand out on MySpace compared to the multitude of other bands. I say be out there, try new or different sites or methods, and for me a site like Unsigned.com looks like another bands should try. You can be in any musical group, solo, duo, where it be from Rap, Hip-Hop, Electronica all the way to Grunge Artists Unsigned.com could be the launching point of your career. All it takes is one music executive to like you to get noticed and then you're off.
Alright there's my rant on music for the night,

I may not be the greatest audiophile, but I know that a lot of musicians here in Brooklyn are always trying to get discovered or get signed by record labels. Instead of doing what every band does and try to only promote through MySpace maybe they should try the new tools at Music.com. The whole Musicians Wanted at Music.com - Get Discovered program is really enticing, where you can sign up for free, upload the music you've already made, and make some money off it. You can have a full website on Music for your band, a blog, an artist profile with band member profiles if you wish, photos, event calender or show listings and more. Music.com will even select some bands for more promotions as well, so it seems like a get venue to get your bands name out that. The more people who know about your music the better right?

Payperpost's Segmentation System for Advertisers and Bloggers, help everyone get paid!

Payperpost has unveiled their new segmentation system for blogs and post over the last week, and even if there was some software errors that prevented many bloggers from taking many of these opportunities for their blogs over the last week, it's a step in the right directions. Now many blogs can't just take opps that don't suit their blogs very well (I enjoy Valentine's Day though) however a tech blog doing posts on Flowers all the time don't make sense. That's why since advertisers now have the choice to specific exactly what blogs, what domains, etc, have the ability to take certain opps. Sure some people may lose out on some of these opportunities, but it's get for the advertisers to target a relevant audience at a great cost.
Payperpost allows bloggers to get paid to blog as most of us know, but now it's a simple decision for Advertisers since it's only costs them a 35% service fee, unlike many other blog advertising services where the fee is 100% of the opportunity. That's great for bloggers since they get more $$ and cheaper for advertisers as well, we all win in this situation. New blog advertising company - LoundLaunch.com

With the increasing popularity of blogs it's good news that advertisers are now able to focus on getting the word out to bloggers about their products. A new service focusing on that called LoudLaunch.com is great because bloggers can get compensated and advertisers can get the buzz out on their products. Seems like a famous Win-Win for both parties, and can be another way to promote your product for only $50 as a minimum to start your advertising campaign. Can't beat that.

Just saw this funny outtake on a Bond Video, it's called La Femme Nikita but it's really about online Jewish dating. Pretty interesting to see advertisers take different outlooks or methods to get your attention. I know a lot of you guys use MySpace and I think it's a way great to reach your friends, learn about new bands or learn about new products. Well there's some new software out there that automates all these things for your potential band or company called Badder Adder. It's a MySpace Friend Adder where you can have the software manage on auto-pilot to add friends, message people, send comments, bulletins, events and accept friends. Would be great to get the word out on your up and coming band, since the more you get the word out the more audiences you may be able to reach.
