I want to be able to buy a house

My best friend back home has a house with his brother and his Mortgage Company gave him a pretty great rate, he only has a mortgage for 9 years, and it's been 4 already that he's been there. I wonder if a home loan would be about the same price for him or more, since he didn't pay too much for the house, around $100,000. If I could get a cheap mortgage like that in New York, there's no way I'd hesitate and instead I'm stuck looking for apartments on Craigslist. Home loans are so cheap in places like Maryland that getting a Maryland Mortgage I would move down there if I had a job like I have here. Well wish me luck, since I'm getting booted from LIU in 2 months.

More later,

Nice tips for getting a good cell phone plan

I'm starting to like The Consumerist blog more and more every day. It seems like every time I visit they got some new trick, story or way to save money. Or they got some horror story with a nice ending. It's a really good consumer blog, something that most of us out there could use.

Here's a couple of nice tips for getting good plans on Cingular and Verizon, you know how notoriously cheap those guys are here. Here's the links:

Cingular Tips from a Cingular Rep

and

Verizon Tips from an ex-employee

Enjoy saving money,

Finance and Credit, your stories?

I remember talking to someone about my first credit card, I didn't have much on it nor did it have a high limit but I remember one summer where I was unemployed I must've used that card a million times. At the end of the summer I had a large (for the time) bill, which too a long time to pay off. Many people experience the same thing, but on a larger scale, with multiple credit cards, or a large mortgage or a giant purchase to pay off like a car. That's why things like Christian Debt Consolidation are important to save you from getting killed on the interest rates. You don't want to be paying 20% or more of your purchase back per year in interest alone, which is why putting everything onto the same bill can help. I managed to pat down my debt, but I didn't have multiple unpaid bills, so let Creditloan.com help you avoid more hassles, so you can start working towards living debt free.

There's my money story for the night, enjoy!

Adidas store Coupons from Coupon Chief!

I love posting coupons from Coupon Chief, they've got so many stores and actually decent coupons so it makes it worthwhile to go there. I love shopping online, finding all the coupon codes I want, and since my school is sponsored by Adidas, I have to get some Adidas gear, and these Adidas Coupon Codes actually help me out. It's nice having 5$ shipping or knowing about their sales so I can get 25-40 off things I need. Check them out, I know I've spoken about them in the past, but they're so great, so enjoy another plug.

Alright off to bed, enjoy the coupons.

Cell Phone users: Do you have the right plan?

I can't believe how people go over their minutes every month with their $20 or $30 plan. They think that they're going to save money when they pick the lowest monthly plans but then they have a couple of months when they go over the alloted minutes. That's how the cell phone companies get you, because if you go over your alloted minutes, it's easily upwards of 30 cents extra per minute over, and that can be quite costly. I've seen it happen to friends, and they think, next month I won't go over, and yet, it keeps happening.

Maybe these guys should take a look at the plans at Wirefly. They've got all the plans from all the major cell phone providers, such as my favorite T-Mobile (most minutes per $$), Verzion, Cingular, Sprint, etc, so that you can choose what's convenient for you. Let's say you get a cheaper $30 plan on T-Mobile and go over your 300 minutes, where a $40 plan on T-Mobile gives you 600 minutes, and free nights to go along with the free weekends. It's a no-brainer if you're choosing your plan. Some people don't have this which is why Wirefly has a bunch of resources to help you out. They even got a free convenient wireless wizard tool to help you pick the right plan for you by allow you to compare cell phone plans fromm all the providers, based on your preferences. This could help you down the road where it's worth it to pay 5 or 10 dollars more per month than 50-60 in overages.

I'm not one who ever goes over my minutes, even during the summer or the times when I don't have school, but for the business or busy person out there, then I'd recommend having a decent plan with enough minutes. You don't want to shoot yourself in the foot later after you've signed your contract for 2 years and have to pay extra per month for no reason.

Anyone else have horror stories about going over their minutes, I don't wanna mention names but I've just seen stupid people do it over and over again, maybe some place like Wirefly can help them. Post your stories and comments.

Man I feel lucky to be on a scholarship

I'm in the library on Wednesday nights, it's long because I work 5-10 and I have practice beforehand. As usual we have people trying to clear their bills, trying to find loans and other general ways of paying for school. Needless to say, some people end up very poor from college and some cry when they can't find enough money, it's true I've seen it happen. These are the types of people that should invest in some Student Loan Consolidation services before it's too late. You don't want to pay any more interest than you already don't, and Student Loan Consolidation Programs can help you out and save lots of money later on. I don't have to worry about this myself, but I feel for the people who do.

Alright more later,

Need a free phone?

Now even if I go out of my way to pick up the latest and greatest phone for myself, which usually involves me paying out of pocket for the phone, most people want free phones on their contracts. That's just economics in the cell phone industry, most people will take the "free" phone and be happy. Well have no fear, since Wirefly will give you free RAZRs, with no rebates required if you activate a contract with them. That's pretty sweet since a Motorola RAZR looks much better than any of the free phones most carriers give you and they're not too bad as a phone themselves. Looks like a win win for everyone, so check out Wirefly for your cell phone needs and even pick up a nice phone for yourself.

Enjoy,

To all you small business owners out there

Many of the small business owners I know think that they can manage all their funds and payrolls all by themselves while running the business and taking care of all the other little things. Well soon enough they'll burn out, I've seen it happen to my friend's uncle, it'll happen to them. I say, why don't you let someone help you manage all your payroll and bookkeeping needs for you. AccountingParadise.com has a nice service out there for small business that need individual attention without the costs of hiring a huge accounting firm. It's much better then trying to use Microsoft Money or Quicken Books. If you're still not convinced check out this link on how they work to learn more about them, trust me it'll be work it and could save you a lot of time or money, or both.

Enjoy the tip!

Home equity loans, they confuse you as well?

Most people are clueless to what they can use their home's equity to get a loan or a large cash advance. I just found out about this over the holidays when my parents were looking into possibly doing this to get enough $$ to pay for a new car instead of financing one. You should really look into home equity loans if you're trying to get something big and don't have a lot of liquid assets like my parents. I'm not an expert about home equity loans and all that but you should really check out this site PersonalHomeLoanMortgages.com to learn more, really worth the look.

Alright more later,

VoIPCheap - The new Skype alternative

Hey just letting you guys know about the new alternative to using SkypeOUT since they're going to start charging in January for calls to phones. The program is called Voipcheap and it's much better than Skype since you can use a regular telephone/cell phone instead of a computer. What it does is place 2 incoming calls and connects the two together. They also do free SMS (text messaging) if that's what you're into.

Honestly it's a great program and I recommend it to all, I can talk more about it but that's what the FAQ is for. Check it out and tell me what you think,

Tme for the great canadian tradition of Boxing Day!

Normally I don't care too much about buying stuff in stores when something goes on sale since online it's generally cheaper except for this one day right after Christmas called Boxing Day. It's where every Canadian goes nuts and spends whatever money they have left after Christmas shopping on some crazy deals. Unfortunetely the deals aren't all good this year, but thereès a few that stand out. I'm waiting for a $50 DVD player that plays DivX for my good friend and then I'm going to try to get another one for my brother. Also going to try to get either satellite or cable for my parents and a NiMH battery charger and batteries for $15 dollars. Pretty good deals for me, but there's a bunch more if you look hard enough.

If you're canadian and you haven't heard of RedFlagDeals yet check them out, you might find something you like. Enjoy!

I'm off to shop, more later!

Look at this, a deals site that gives away stuff for finding hot deals

I know I talk a lot about deals, coupons and etc but I've seen a new site that gets great deals while giving away free stuff. DealsVista.com is a great site on deals for computers, electronics, toys, etc, all the regular stuff. But what makes them special is that they're having a draw for free stuff from Dec 6th to the 19th. Here's the details from their site

2. Share with your friends by email or instant messengers.
The more invitations you send, the more chances to win at that day! *
3. Check back, share more and win many. iPod Nano will be drawn from all invitations responded during the promotion period. All other gifts will be drawn from invitations responded at that day.* Winner will be annouced at homepage at 1pm PST the next day.

Pretty sweet, they don't require no registration and a purchase is not necessarily. The list of prices is on their site but it includes, iPod's, Logitech G5 Gaming mice, and more. Check them out at DealsVista.com.

Who hasn't had a bad job review from their boss?

Yea I remember working at McDonald's when I got my first job review, the boss at the time was all proud of me since I was only 6 months into the job and didn't completely hate it yet. I was pretty much a model employee. Then 6 months later, after being there a year, I kinda lost interest into the job after this terrible review my boss gave me for my 2nd review. It was late, unprofessional (I had no idea back then) and I only got a 10 cent raise, what the hell is 10 cents when you're working for minimum wage. They really need to get some Employee Review Software, like the ones at Manager Assistant, so that they can give better more timely reviews and actually evaluate me instead of giving of opinion of me. It's pretty good and may help you keep disgruntled employee's like me from leaving the door.

Thanks,

-Steve

Who wants CashBack?

Just reminding you guys that one of my favorite deal sites and one of the few Cash Back sites out there dealking.com has some pretty nice deals out there, especially on prepaid cell phones. They got a T-Mobile to go phone (the Nokia 6030, not too bad of a phone) for free or a Motorola C139 from Cingular's GoPhone (not as good of a phone but some people like Cingular more) also for free after cash back from dealking.com. It's pretty sweet for those looking to give a prepaid phone as a gift to a young one. However they got deals for many more stores included Buy.com, Toys R Us, Overstock.com and more. Check them out and get some $$ back.

Enjoy!

Payday loans and cash advances

Since it's payday for me, which is always a great day, I feel I might as well talk about some cash advance or payday loans that some people take. I've never done of these personally but I know people who have and have looked into it one time when I needed this computer part. It's great being able to get a cash advance or a payday loan but if you don't have the abilitiy to pay the loan within a short period of time you can be in for some financial hurt.

I know some of you may not have a clue of what I'm talking about. But if you need a faxless cash advance there's resources you can use to learn more and understand risk. PaydayCashAdvanceLoans.biz is a site that can help you with resourses such as finance calculators and a city-by-city cash advance directory. Their web site is easy to navigate and comprehensive as well.

If you need a cash advance or payday loan don't be afraid to check out PaydayCashAdvanceLoans.biz.

Thanks,

-Steve

CouponChief does it again, Circuit City coupon codes

I love giving out coupon codes, it's great since people actually need them and people love saving money. I have a CircuitCity right near my dorm and it's a great store for all your electronic and computer needs, especially with the 24 minute policy they got. If you need some Circuit City Coupon Codes on that next purchase, those coupons from Coupon Chief might help you out. If you need any more coupons for store such as Dell, Overstock, and many more Coupon Chief has plenty for all your needs.

Check them out, I'm definetly going to be picking up some gifts there.
