Summer has begun

Well here I am, on my first day of the summer, stuck inside the library on a rainy day making my miserable 6.75 an hour. Things are better than last week, haven't really run much since conference, gonna have to go out today. I need to meet up with coach to discuss my summer plans and see what I want to do. At least I've started to attend to my goal of writing in this more often. Since I'll be bored I'll have time to write in here with all the wonderful hours spent at the library.

Just got 3 of my grades back, 3 A's, in Immunology, Therapeutic Exercises and Sports Psychology, so things are great. Just need 3 more, then I gotta finish up my paperwork, ugh, all this paperwork annoys me. I need to do an extension for my I-20, so I need 2 letters, then I need a work authorizian form, ugh.

Anyways, I'm off the clock, until next time, I'll post something more abstract and thoughtful, for now it's just business.

For once, everything was good

Bleh I wrote this huge long blog on the road while I was going here at the beginnings of a 5 hour ride that took 9 which sucked ass but it got deleted when my v551 or opera mini didn't save my middle text. Anyways I'll do a recap.

I started off this blog going on about how my life was actually pretty decent at the moment. I achieved, well more like got lucky with my goal of finding someone, and that someone means the world to me, she knows who she is, lol. I didn't just find someone tho, I found Kari, the nicest, most caring person I've ever met, who actually cares about me and not anything i do or etc. I just finished my last exam as a senior so now all I got is one year as a grad student and boom i get two degrees, which is pretty sweet. I won an award for being the athlete with the most heart and I was on the Knicks website also. My running had been going better as i "seemed" to be getting over my injured calf and my injured hamstring but that long car ride screwed it up, more on that later. And lastly I was overall happy with life, how I was managing to do whatever I had to do and still managing to have fun and do what I wanted to do as well.

However kinda pissed off today at my big race of the outdoor season, conference championships. I had just one race, the 1500m, and even before I got on the track I lost. I wasn't mentally focused, nor psyched up enough (dam sports psychology, you'd think after taking it these things wouldnt bother me but then again i don't think my coach helped at all really) and I felt extremely tight from the car ride. No stretching or loosening up helped me that day, cuz once I was in the race, i was in cruise control, not caring or reacting, just going through the motions. Once the pack left me, I was hit by the severe wind on the backstretch at the Mount St. Mary's track and I just gave up and coasted in to a 4:30 1500m, my slowest time since high school, 6 years ago. I warmed up for the 4x800m but didn't run it, oh well, prolly would've sucked anyways since my confidence was shot.

My season's over, but I still have summer track and might run some races and train, I want it but I think I need to focus better and feel like I'm healthy. I can't go into a race not at 100%, physically or mentally, I won't be able to give 100% then. I just binged on McDonald's, random thought, but I need to eat the way I need to and train the way I used to before the injury. Hopefully this summer with no stress, just my job, Kari and training I'll be fine.

As for my philisophical part of my blog, I'm going to ramble on a bit on why whenever everything seems to go right, or it should be your time to shine, there's always something that doesn't go right. It's like can life be perfect, or is there always going or got to be some stress, some problem, something that goes the opposite way of what its supposed to. Its like you do everything you can but sometimes it's not good enough. Shitty feeling, but I guess all you can do is move on. You stay in that place you got nothing to gain from it, so you got to just keep going then.

I think this is my longest blog on this thing. During the summer I'm going to either update this more or work on another website. I think I need a project, like that, on the computer to focus on. Also need more time to place some video games and just do nothing. Oh well I got 3 months starting monday, time to hop to it.

Calm before the storm

Wow for the first time in a while I've been completely bored. Lately it's been either track or work or tranining room. I'm glad I got a day like this, big race tomorrow, running the mile at the NYU meet at the Armory T & F Center in NYC. First mile in 2 years, so that's pretty big. It's good to have these extra two weeks to prepare for the semester, train, get extra money, it's great. I got to work, buy books early, took care of all the little things I wouldn't have time to do, got extra hours done at the LIU training room where I do my internship, it's pretty good especially the meal money part, lol.

As for New Year's, it was a good time, spent a shitload however I got my money's worth, Moomba was pretty tight and Armin Van Buuren was SICK, he played an insane show, too bad I couldn't stay the whole time cuz my friend was dumb at the supper club, meh, there'll be more shows and more big DJ's. Avb is all I've been listening too lately, he's prolly the best dj imo in the world now, with his show and all.

I've been working on little things around here, going to install XMBC on my xbox so I can watch xvid/divx, I'm modding my ps2, I'm cleaning up / OC'ing my comp again, got my 3200+ from 2.0 to 2.6ghz 24/7, pretty sick clocks since that's FX-55 speeds, lol

Anyways I'll post back when things get a little less crazy, I'm going to try to work on my (3rd) webpage since I won't be stuck in the library 24/7, so until then wish me luck with running, it's looking go so far, let's see how it goes.

New Year's Eve, overhyped or what?

I'm bored waiting for the big event to happen so might as well just ramble on about this day for the hell of it. Why is it that everyone goes nuts for new year's? Do they honestly change who they are in the coming year because of the day before the whole year or are people looking for another excuse to get trashed? I see a lot of people not even looking forward to the day, I never really have, I've had some pretty shitty new year's.

let's see:
in the last 5-6 years, I've either,
a) gone to a shitty party
b)spent money to go a shitty party
c)broken up with my girlfriend

So net benefit = not much

Maybe I'm being a pessimist, everything can't always end up to shit, maybe I'm just trying to justify the fact that this year I'm spending a shit load instead of just a normal regular amount and trying to make sense of it.

In other news I just ran 7km in -20C weather, that was fun, and I leave for NYC again in 2 days, and 2morrow's my dad's birthday, he's 52, and I'm 22, dang we're old, lol.

P.S. I was still drunk when I wrote the last blog, I guess I'm always drunk when I go on some random tangent, it seems to bring out sides of me that I don't see too often, meh, maybe I should continue writing in french, just cuz, maybe if I had real comments instead of advertisements

P.S.S. New Year's resolution, yes it's on here, to find someone...

A tantot

Gosh that last entry was horrible

I guess I forgot about this for a while, Carter was talking about how mine wasn't very good earlier but I didn't care at the time but now looking back at the last post I'll have to agree. Maybe I'm not supposed to write very long great essays detailling my views on life however writing like I'm black while drunk ain't very entertaining to myself or others.

Anyways, I've been at home for 5 weeks, and it feels like everyone at home is growing apart except for me, great isn't it. It makes no sense how people who've lived together for 25 years still don't communicate. It's also amazing how someone just doesn't want to grow up. Along with myself being a part-time member of the family which means I have less pull all compounds this problem. The problem is really simple to fix, however someone on each side loses big, and the lack of compromise and communication makes reaching any but the worst conclusion to this problem a distant reality. I'm being very vague so that the people who know me can understand however I don't wnat all of my business out (however no one cares right?)

On a more personnal level, I've been trying to relax and not worry about things right now, this is my summer, I'm supposed to be enjoying it and having fun, and not letting myself get bogged down. However I find it tough to draw the line between the responsibilties you maintain towards your family and the responsibility for yourself, aka family first or yourself first. It's like I'm forced to take away from the things I want or want to do to help them even if they don't really want to help themselves. Grrr this discussion is turning around in circles. I think I need some sleep and some time to think, tomorrow should provide that, and this weekend should provide some fun without bs or high cost, like clubbing, lol

What the hell am I doing here?

Wow, I'm amazed, these dorms are hilarious. Honestly, everyhing imaginable goes on here, it's amazing. Athletes drinking the night before they compete, girls going wild and fighting over who they gonna fuck, girls getting their ass beat by people they "love", dude's fighting just cuz they got nothing better to fight over. Mad, I'm tired of this shit, 2 weeks until i leave this shit, and honestly, it'll be better at home, at least i won't get too much randomness. I just gotta do what I gotta do., Maybe I sound a bit black here, but fuck it, it's 70% black here, and you just gotta live life how it is. Man, know I hear about this girl, a friend of mine, giving head while drunk, and I'm like, you serious, wow, these girls are serious whoe's, and ti's the truth, oh well, their choice, tough luck, it's their life, not mine.

Enough rambling,

Samsung Experience in NYC

Wow I'm actually impressed at the stuff at the Samsung Expo in the Time Warner building next to central park in NYC. I went into the Time Warner building just to see what it was like then bought a book (Terry Goodkind's Naked Empire, awesome series) at Borders then wandered up the stairs to the Samsung experience. It's crazy, it's like all the stuff from CeBIT and Korea/Japan is here, like the 5mp phone, the 3.1 megapixel phone with 3x optical zoom, hell there's even a cell phone with a 1.5gb HD that plays mp3 really well and stores documents. I'm not done the whole thing yet but it's awesome. Right now I'm on one of there Wireless Intel Centrino laptop, ain't bad but I like AMD :P. Alright I'm off to see the rest of it then go down to Central Park and read/study for a while.

Ciao

Not running

Of all the things I hate about not being able to run, is the night before I go to a track meet when I'm unable to run. Why? because that's when you think about what you could've been doing, what you're doing while not running, will I even run at the same level again, etc. You basically almost only think about running, and you feel like crap and get depressed. At least I'm making some progress forward so I don't feel like shooting myself anymore, lol. I can even jog for a little bit on my own, and bike for 30 mins, so I'm getting there. I just wish I could run again, I had to go through this last year, and again this year, I just hope I'm mentally able to keep doing this.

Anyways wish me luck, I'm off to watch the LIU trackbirds at the Metropolitan Championships

First post

Wow I've actually began this thing. This is the first step in what will hopefully become an ongoing thing. I actually had a journal a long time ago, back when I went out with Jen, man it seems like ages ago. I eventually gave up on it due to time but since Carter has his and I've always wanted to write a journal or something why not do this in my own way.

Now how should I go with this thing? Make it personal and keep it anonymous? Or just write random crap and put it under my name, anyways, I'll figure this out later, along with the rest of this thing.

Later
