Wastes of money

My friend brought up this interesting point to me today, saying that I waste too much money on electronics. Yes I do waste money on electronics sometimes, and maybe don't spend enough on food, but I'm not a compulsive spender and etc. Some people go nuts over alcohol, gambling, clothes, shoes, jewelery, modding their car, their computer, etc. Is it a crime to spend the money you've saved or earned on your hobby or your passion as long as it's not killing your budget??
Ok maybe I'm trying to justify things but do you guys suffer/have the same thing? what's your poison? or am I just someone who likes toys? lol
